Steps to get Started
Step 1: First of all, online job seekers have to register with freelancer websites that provide a platform to both Job seekers and Employer (Job providers). Ex: Freelanceers, Elance, vWorker, etc. Visit our Job Board for freelance jobs.
Step 2: After registered with freelancer website or company you need to create your profile. It is as similar as your Resume (CV) or Naukri.com profile. In this you need provide your personal details, past work history, education details, project details.
(Ex: a “Designer” can give details of project, did it previously or a “Type Writer” can give details of his project did it, typing speed, etc.) Because your well described and complete profile will impress the employer (Job provider).
Step 3: Upload any relevant examples to your portfolio. Do your best to make sure that when an employer sees your application, he will be impressed.
Step 4: Mention your skills set in your profile. Because it would help for finding the suitable jobs. (Ex: Digital Writer, Photography, Cad, Blogger, SAP, Java, C++, AI, ML etc.)
Step 5: Mention your any Specialization certification you got, which related to working and appreciations of the employer who given for assignments or projects you did it previously.
Step 6: Then Start applying for jobs. First try out some smaller jobs and get good feedback and then go after bigger jobs.
Step 7: Bid the projects in the proper way. Don’t bid for too high rate and also don’t bid for too low rate. It can be balanced, which could impress the employer.
