Job Description:
- Reviewing contract drawings and specifications.
- Preparation of design / engineering activities and preparation of design/shop drawings and liaison Contractors as necessary.
- Co-ordination with Project Manager to provide solutions affecting design development and co-ordination matters.
- Preparation and review of design changes.
- Providing detailed drawings, sketches and other project information to assist in the finalization, approval and installation on site.
- Leading a team of Cad Operators/draughtsman.
- Estimation of materials quantities required at site based on shop drawings produced.
- Ensuring that all drawing and material submittals are submitted as programme of works.
- Scrutiny of tender documents.
- Evaluating tender documents, drawings & schedules.
- Delegating draftsmen for quantity take offs, cross checking quantities.
- Estimation of Material Cost and Labour Man Hours based on the Tender documents.
