Job Description: Product engineer responsible will be primarily responsible for the Sustaining and development on various projects in support of product line, new product extensions, rapid prototyping and custom designs. The role will involve working with Project and Product managers, manufacturing engineering, operations, and plant quality, outside vendors to ensure smooth sustenance of products.
- To work with multi-functional project team.
- Work with mechanical and electrical designs in development of connectors and product line extensions
- To work with Deviation and Tool transfer approvals
- To create & edit drawings and specifications to facilitate manufacturing and new product extensions
- To work with labs to ensure product testing’s wherever required
- Take care of part material change assignments including polymers and metals
- Work with FAI approvals, Process Capability Study, 8D report and 5 WHY analysis
- Work with PLM, EC applications and Engg. doc. management systems
- To address product enquiries and product complaints arising for responsible products
