Eligibility Criteria for Tata Steel Off Campus Drive 2026
Candidates must meet the following strict academic and age requirements:
- Eligible Branches: Ceramic, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering & Management (IEM), Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mineral, and Mining.
- Education: Full-time degree from an AICTE/UGC recognized campus program. Lateral entry candidates (Diploma + BE/ B.Tech) are also eligible.
- Candidates who would have passed their minimum qualification exam not earlier than March 2022 are only eligible to apply
- Academic Aggregate:
- General/ EWS: Minimum 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transperson: Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
- Age Limit: Max 30 years for General/EWS; Max 32 years for SC/ST/PwD/Transperson as on 1st January 2026
- Domicile: Preference will be given to candidates from Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
Program Details:
- Selected Candidates will be placed as Engineer Trainees for 1 year
- The trainees will be subject to evaluations on regular basis during the training period.
- On successful completion of training, they will be considered for full-time employment as Assistant Manager (IL6) at Tata Steel
- Training of those selected candidates who fail in their Degree programme or are unable to produce the pass certificate with the marks as detailed above, by 31st August 2026, will be terminated.
Training & Compensation
- Training Duration: 1 Year (Structured technical and behavioral modules).
- Stipend: ₹30,000 per month (All-inclusive).
- Benefits: Comprehensive medical coverage (Medi-claim) for self during the training period.
- Absorption: Successful trainees are absorbed as Assistant Manager (IL6).
