Education:
- BE in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Industrial Engineering
- Additional Preferred: Post Diploma in Industrial Safety
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Effective controlling & monitoring utility services like electricity, water, HVAC, compressed air etc.
- Conducting function critical activities like shop start up meeting, work allocation, visiting work area, guiding workman for necessary help
- Lean transformation project – Layout preparations, equipment specifications preparations, vendor co ordination and installation of new facilities.
- Coordination with supplier, stores and SCM and arrange spares on time.
- Coordinating service contract, supervising contract employees and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Driving environmental activities with all functional area for monthly environmental activities. Collecting and pushing functional leaders to achieve objectives and targets.
- Driving health & safety culture among team members and inspire to follow safety norms by regular and contractor employees, also conversant with safety regulations applicable to industry and striving for implementation of the same.
- Driving sustainability efforts and improve environmental performance.
- Communicating all environmental critical parameters to legal authorities and ensure compliance to factory inspectorate, pollution control board and electrical inspectors requirements.
- Driving safety among the employees and contractors working with maintenance department, ensuring compliance to work permit, lock out tag out.
- Effective monitoring of preventive maintenance activities.
- Environmental monitoring like air monitoring, water, stack, noise, waste handling etc. Communication with GPCB at regular intervals.
- Capital project work monitoring for execution and documentation part.
- Recording and documenting plant data in soft form. Handling change management process to ensure updated data for plant.
- Executing energy conservation drives at Naroda plant.
- Supporting 5S and Kaizen activities in functional area & PI Coordination
