Responsibilities:
- Using AutoCAD/Inventor design & drafting of HV electrical motors for different industrial applications as preliminary mechanical design
- Co-ordinating with Sales department for clarifying specs of technical quotations
- Assisting the Procurement department in understanding the material and instrumentation requirements spelt out in the BOM or drawings
- Analysing motor thermal & vibration performance by comparing the theoretical data with test results
- Test Data compilation and storing for future reference
- Support departmental ISO documentation activities
- Assist in the bench marking activity of motors
- Helping the senior designers with testing of alternate designs and preparing technical reports
- Continuous interaction with shop floor & testing personnel to assist understanding of production process, materials & tests
- Maintaining IS/IEC/IEEE/NEMA standards while checking for obsolescence
