Puducherry Electricity Department Recruitment 2022: The Electricity Department of Government of Puducherry is a deemed licensee under Section 14 of Electricity Act, 2003 and is carrying on the business of Transmission, Distribution and retail supply of Electricity in Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam and Mahe Regions of the Union Territory of Puducherry. With all the Towns and villages electrified in as early as 1972, the Union Territory is 100% fully electrified.
The business of generation of Electricity in the Union Territory of Puducherry is being carried out by the Puducherry Power Corporation Limited, an undertaking wholly owned by the Government of Puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria for Puducherry Electricity Department Recruitment 2022:
Candidates must complete Diploma/ AMIE/ BE/ B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized University with 3 years experience in the field of operation and maintenance of power system transmission and distribution.
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be in between 18 to 30 years as on 31-01-2022. Age is relaxable for reserved category candiates.
Selection Process for Puducherry Electricity Department Recruitment 2022:
Selection will be based on the written competitive examination.
Online Test:
- The Question Paper will be in English Language Only.
- The question paper for the exam shall be consisting of 100 questions and the paper shall
be of 100 marks. - There shall be negative marking system and 1/4th mark for each wrong answer shall be deducted to arrive at total marks scored.
- Questions will be on technical knowledge.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- 50 and above marks for unreserved candidates
- 40 and above for reserved candidates
