Job Description:
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be part of the team that supports and maintains mission critical enterprise applications. You will be involved in testing functional and performance areas of the application. These applications are a combination of hardware and software elements and present a unique challenge in terms of test scenarios. You will be learning about the supported Products and related technologies and will be working closely with the Global Product managers, SME teams in US and India who have expertise on the applications to guide you. You will have access to various development, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools that you would be using to do an investigation and resolve issues. Your primary role and responsibilities will be as below:
- Planning and executing test strategy, system integration testing and support UAT. Take full ownership of end-to-end test suite execution.
- Test case creation and integration testing with various third party, Web, mobile and IT systems
- Functional and non-functional testing – understand requirements, define, and execute test cases – capturing test results, validation, and review with SMEs
- Owning QA setup and configuration for all artifacts and device portfolio of the ecosystem
- Collaborate and coordinate integration testing between multiple teams – Product, Testing labs, Engineering, Infrastructure
- Maintain test schedules and work with operations for Production rollouts
Requirements:
- UG – B.Tech/B.E. OR PG – M.S. / M.Tech REC or above
- 3+ years testing of distributed applications – frontend and backend
- Strong in SQL databases – executing Storedprocs, advanced querying
- Should be able to analyze the requirements from clients
- Should be able to conduct test results review with SMEs
- Defect Tracking – Exposure to JIRA and similar tools
- Should be able to do CRUD operations on MS SQL DB
- Should be able to pull out DB logs
- Experience with Git, SVN code repositories
- Self-starter and able to efficiently manage and estimate time
- Excellent communication skills, able to participate and interact with teams, subject matter experts
- Rapid and iterative prototyping for user testing
- Agile methodologies, pair/peer collaboration with developers
- Working closely with server-side, development teams, cross-geography counter parts
