OSSC Recruitment 2022: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was set up by Govt. of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1994 for carrying out direct recruitment against Group-C posts in the State cadre (as against District cadre) as may be scheduled in the OSSC Rules, 1993. There are some 85 different cadres of posts/ services under various departments of Government to which recruitment is made through this Commission. .

The Commission’s office is located at Barrack No.1, Unit-V, Bhubaneswar-751054. The Commission is headed by the Chairman, and in addition it comprises of a Member. They are appointed by the Government, and are governed by Rules regulating their recruitment and conditions of service. The Commission is accountable to the General Administration Department of Government in administrative and financial matters.

Eligibility Criteria for OSSC Recruitment 2022:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must complete Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.

Age Limit: (As on 01-01-2021)

Candidate’s age must be minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years as in case of General Candidates. Relaxation is provided to the reserved category candidates.

Selection Process for OSSC Recruitment 2022:

Candidates are selected based on their performance in the Combined Written Examination and Certificates verification.

Combined Written examination consists of Paper-I and Paper-II

Paper-I:

Mathematics & Reasoning

Composite Paper (Odia, English, GK & Computer Awareness)

Paper-II: Certificates Verification

Application Fee:

Candidates have to pay the application fee through online mode.
General candidates have to pay fee of Rs. 200/-. Reserved category candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee.
