Job Description:
The key purpose of the role is to carry out SW/HW upgrades , integration, migration of IP Network Elements. The solutions will be based on Nokia IP equipment.
Main areas of responsibility
- Configuration and integration of ALU network components in CLI or NMS systems
- HW/SW upgrades, performing backups, troubleshooting
- Migration of live network services remotely or on site using CLI, NMS , bespoke tools
- Work with field engineers to ensure configuration is installed, error free and ready for testing
- Adherence to technical procedures and network security access policies
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of telecom experience in IP/MPLS domain, service provider environment delivering mobile and enterprise servicfes
- Good knowledge of IP technical solutions – IPV4, IPV6, routing, switching, mpls,
- Understanding of Service providers network operation
- Workimg experience in ip/mpls services l2 vpn, l3 vpn , vll
- Hands-on in configuring routers/switches with Command Line Interface , Nokia, Cisco, Juniper
- Nokia NRS1 of other vendors equivalent (e.g CCNACisco, JNCIA Juniper)
- Good practical knowledge of 5620 SAM (NE integration, SW upload & upgrade, backups) alarm monitoring and interpretation will be a plus
