Positions: Senior Engineer I- HVAC/ Plastic design
Role: Senior Design Engineer
Qualification: BE/ B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3 – 4 Years
Job Description:
- Develop Design and Implement HVAC Solutions across the division to support current and future product offerings
- Participates on internal teams to drive methodology, processes, and tools to design HVAC systems
- Provides problem solving for HVAC issues on new product development and current production *Participates on new product development teams, ensuring design activities and plans are formulated and followed.
- Provide leadership for the HVAC functional area
- Develop mounting structures, hose assemblies, air duct routing for HVAC systems on construction and forestry applications
- Maintain effective communication with the vehicle teams
- Provide design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance.
- Coordinate with the Test Engineer and FEA engineer to identify the test plan for assembly and components. *Good understanding of Manufacturing, assembly and servicing.
- Provide input to design solutions and participate in design reviews
- Document the lessons learnt as Design Guidelines and Design Books *Conduct the correlation study for the PVV data and the engineering calculations
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP) and Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Knowledge in engineering principles and calculations * 3-4 years of design experience.
- Knowledge of Ergonomics, Structure and controls will be added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, and air routing
- Basic knowledge of both physical and analytical evaluation techniques (CFD) used to demonstrate the performance and durability HVAC systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Creo and the PDM link * Knowledge of drawing, product models, stack up calculations, geometric dimensioning and Tolerance
- Knowledge of off-road vehicle.
- Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline – University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
