Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd (IPRCL) a first of its kind Joint Venture Company (JVC) between 11 Major Ports under the Ministry of Shipping holding 90% of equity capital and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under Ministry of Railways holding 10% of equity capital, incorporated with the objective to provide efficient rail evacuation systems to Major Ports and for enhancing their capacity and throughput.
The company was registered on 10th July,2015 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 2013.The Company is under administrative control of Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.

Salary Details:
- Engineer: Rs.40,000-1,60,000/- PM
- Project Site Engineers (PSEs): Rs. 54,000/- PM
- Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainees: Rs.10,000/- PM(Stipend)
Eligibility Criteria:
Engineer (Civil/ Electrical/ S&T):
- Candidates should complete Degree in Engineering in Civil/ Electrical/ S&T from a recognized university
Project Site Engineers (PSEs):
- Candidates should complete B.Tech/ BE (Electronics & Communications) from a recognized university
- Candidates should be having GATE SCORE for the year 2012 onward in the respective disciplines
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainees:
- Candidates should complete Degree in Engineering in Civil/ Electrical granted by a Statutory University
- At Least 60% (for candidates belonging to General Category) in aggregate of all years & semesters in 55% in aggregate of all years & semesters in Degree in Engineering for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
Age limit: (As on 18-07-2020)
- Engineer: Up to 35 years
- Project Site Engineers (PSEs): 32 years
- Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainees: 23 years
Selection process:
Engineer: Selection will be based on interview
Project Site Engineers (PSEs): Marks will be awarded to the candidates applying for the vacancies on the basis of the following:
- Marks of qualifying examination (Engineering Degree) for the post – 30%
- GATE Score-20%
- Additional relevant qualification -10%
- Relevant Experience for the desired post – 40%
Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainees:
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines and Merit List will be prepared.
