Role Summary/Purpose:
Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
The incumbent will undergo 1 year rotation within the sourcing function where he/she will learn the basics of the function. The training will be on the job where the incumbent is expected to deliver as per expectations to complete the training program
Essential Responsibilities:
Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities. Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability. Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives under supervision. Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy .Support commodity buys. Works within a team setting and / or under guidance. Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis. Signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements. Contributes to project as a team member.
