Job Description:
- Hiring for Junior Engineer for Make in India Initiative
- The projects involve manufacturing of 1000 diesel locomotives and 800 electric locomotives over next 11 years and is worth about Rs 40,000 crore
- US multinational GE, which has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Rs.1,200 crore Marhora diesel locomotive factory, is expected to manufacture the 1,000 locomotives over 10 years. While 100 will be imported, rest will be manufactured at Marhora as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
- French major Alstom, the lowest bidder for the Rs.1,000 crore Madhepura electric locomotive factory, will manufacture 800 high power electric locomotives locos in the next 11 years. It will manufacture 12,000 HP electric locomotives to be used for heavy haulage.
- According to the contract, while 5 diesel locos will be imported, the rest 795 will be manufactured at Madhepura as part of the project. Maintenance of the locos will also be the responsibility of the company and for this it will set up two maintenance sheds at Nagpur and Sharanpur
- Position Company Trainee.
- After completion of 3 month to 6 months of Training, will be working, Candidate will be working as a Junior Engineer
Role Summary/Purpose:
In this role incumbent will be able to learn various aspects of diesel locomotives maintenance while getting a hands on experience and to work on various activities in the maintenance shed
Essential Responsibilities:
- Hands on working on locomotives and associated systems / equipment’s for performing service activities like scheduled / unscheduled maintenance / Heavy Maintenance / wreck Repair adhering to timelines, cost and quality.
- Hands on working on rolling stock products like Engines / Bogies / Brake Systems / Traction Motors / Control Systems / motors / compressor etc
- Able to diagnose faults and ensure adherence to work scopes as defined in the Procedures.
- Ensuring all appropriate documentations are updated as per the requirements of the job.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas to attain highest level of 5S
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and safety policies in his area
