🎓 Eligibility Criteria For CPCB Recruitment 2026

1. Scientist-D (1 Post)

Qualification: First-class Master’s in Natural Science/ Environmental Science OR First-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Energy & Environment / Biotechnology).
Publication Norms: Cumulative Impact Factor of published papers should not be less than 10 (Scopus / UGC CARE) OR Minimum 5 Peer-reviewed Books/Chapters with ISBN OR 5 CPCB/SPCB Technical Reports.
Experience: 7 years relevant experience in river pollution control, industrial sewage management, data analytics, and environmental norms.

2. Scientist-C (8 Posts)

Qualification: First-class Master’s in Natural/Environmental Science OR First-class B.E./B.Tech (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Energy & Environment / Biotechnology).
Publication Norms: Cumulative Impact Factor of published papers should not be less than 7 (Scopus / UGC CARE) OR 3 Books/Chapters with ISBN OR 3 CPCB/SPCB Technical Reports.
Experience: 5 years practical experience in pollution abatement, sewage management, and environmental management.

3. Scientist-B (12 Posts)

Mandatory Requirement: Valid GATE Score with ≥ 90% percentile OR NET-JRF qualified.
Experience: 3 years relevant experience in pollution abatement or research/teaching.

4. Assistant Manager – Finance (3 Posts)

Qualification: First-class Master’s Degree in Commerce (Finance & Accounting / Taxation) OR Chartered Accountant (CA) OR MBA (Finance & Accounting).
Experience: 8 years post-qualification experience including MS Office/Excel, 2+ years tax experience, Tally/QuickBooks, TDS/GST/PF online filing, and payroll management.

5. Administrative Assistant (1 Post)

Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with working computer knowledge. First-class Post Graduation is desirable.
Experience: Minimum 5 years administrative work experience in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies (Grade Pay 4200 level). Must pass noting/drafting skill test.

6. Scientific Assistant (13 Posts)

Qualification: First-class Master’s in Environmental/Natural Science OR First-class B.E./B.Tech (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Energy & Environment / Biotechnology).
Mandatory Requirement: Valid GATE Score with $\ge 90\%$ percentile OR NET-JRF qualified.

7. Taxonomist (1 Post)

Qualification: First-class M.Sc. (Desirable: Master’s in Botany/Zoology with min 75% marks). Valid GATE Score (≥ 90% percentile) or NET-JRF qualified.
