CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research CSIR-CIMFR, previously known as Central Mining Research Institute (CMRI) and Central Fuel Research Institute (CFRI), is based in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. It is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous government body and India’s largest research and development (R&D) organisation.
The establishment of CSIR-CIMFR was aimed to provide R&D inputs for the entire coal-energy chain from mining to Consumption through integration of the Core Competencies of the two (CFRI & CMRI) premier Coal institutions of the country.

Salary:
- Project Assistant Level I: Rs. 20,000/- PM
- Project Assistant Level II: Rs. 31,000/- PM
- Project Assistant Level III: Rs. 35,000/- PM

Eligibility Criteria:
Project Assistant Level-I:
- B.Sc in Chemistry/ Agriculture/ Environmental Science
- Diploma in Mining Engineering
Project Assistant Level-II:
- M.Sc in Geoinformatics/ Environmental Science
- BE/ B.Tech in ECE/ Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Mining/ Geology/ IT
Project Assistant Level-III:
- BE/ B.Tech in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Science/ Applied Geology/ Geophysics
- M.E/ M.Tech in ECE/ CSE.
Age limit:
- Project Assistant Level-I: Below 28 years as on Date of Interview
- Project Assistant Level-II: Below 30 years as on Date of Interview
- Project Assistant Level-III: Below 35 years as on date of interview.
Age relaxations: 05 years for Statutory Groups and Women candidates.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on the performance in interview
- Walk-in-interview will be held at CSIR-CIMFR, Digwadih Campus, Dhanbad
