The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is a body created by the Constitution of India to select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Bihar according to the merits of the applicants.
The Bihar Public Service Commission initially began its functioning for the State of Bihar with its headquarters at Ranchi. The State Government decided to shift the headquarters of the Commission from Ranchi to Patna and it was finally shifted to Patna on 1st March 1951.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Electrical Engineering) with 1st Class from a recognized University.
Age limit:
Candidates age must be minimum 18 years as on 01-08-2020. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates
Selection Process:
Candidates are selected based on their academic record, written test and interview.
Weightage will be given to the candidates as follows:
- Academic record: 20 marks
- Written test: 40 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
- Contract basis recruitment: 25 marks (Candidates who got recruited on contract basis for this post)
Syllabus:
The syllabus of Graduate Aptitude test Engineering (GATE) will be applicable for this vacancy
Examination Fee:
- For General/ OBC & Other state candidates: Rs.750/-
- For SC/ ST/ PH/ Women candidates of Bihar State: Rs.200/-
Mode of Payment: Pay through Online Mode or Bank Challan at any SBI Bank Branch.
