Eligibility Criteria for Amdocs Recruitment 2023:
- Bachelor / B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent.
- 3-5 years experience as a DBA and SQL knowledge.
- Significant experience and solid knowledge of RDBMS
- Experience with UNIX or UNIX variants and scripting
- Experience in operating within a complex, multi-interface environment.
Job Description:
The DB Administrator have the ultimate responsibility of physical and applicative database administration activities supporting end2end life cycle of product from database perspective.
Job Responsibilities:
- Excellent core Oracle DBA skills involving backup & recovery, switchover, failover, DB patch and installation.
- Ensuring database availability, health, basic performance and assuring first level assistance for SQL tuning.
- Manage and lead Root Cause Analysis, Lesson Learned and prevention processes to meet high standard of deliverables and work according to company methodology.
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities, lead and direct the solution creation and implementation, and assure standards (new and existing processes and initiate enhanced changes)
- Ensuring the backup & recovery systems functioning correctly.
- Guide developers, assist them with database structure design as of business needs (e.g. indexes, constraints, integrity)
- Performing applicative database change management (prod & non prod) while assuring correct alignment to Amdocs Infra methodologies.
- Experince on maintenance activities like table/index rebuild, partitioning, space reclaim etc.
- Participate in DB Forums, Triage and Troubleshooting with functional and non-functional teams
- Provide database supreme level of expertise and problem solving services to all stakeholders during project lifecycle (from Development till post production) by clarifying and addressing permanent and efficient solutions to complex and unusual problems)
- Configuration and administration of large and critical database systems
- Installing various DBMS (database management systems) versions and applying maintenance fixes supplied by the DBMS vendor
- Experience with UNIX or UNIX variants and scripting
