- BE/ B.Tech, ME/ M.Tech ( Electrical / Mechanical)
- Proffered Product design and development professional with an Electrical / Mechanical background
- Person with strong mechanical skills having exposure for component design, preparing quality plans , localization , material selection can be suitable for the position
- Industrial designers with design consultancies or Home appliances manufacturer
- Electromechanical component validation exposure will be added advantage
Job Description:
You will be working as Engineer R&D and will be part of Electrification business for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing with own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology development and solutions. Solving industrial problems independently. Understanding the key business drivers for ABB in order to make judgments and contribute to results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions
- Contributing to R&D projects with own, creative ideas. Proposing follow-up projects and activities within own technical area based on new ideas
- Maintaining awareness of state-of-art technology, as well as ABB products and technologies, and identifies and understands technical drivers for R&D pro-jects in own area
- Participating constructively in working teams. Sharing own technical/scientific knowledge in own projects and supports colleagues in applying processes and tools to ensure timely and high-quality results.
- Participating in networks in own area, including relevant Engineering networks, in order to further knowledge in targeted area of expertise
- Basic understanding of the importance of IP for the ABB business, contributes to IP discussions and develops project clearance reports. Identifies risks in R&D projects
