Eligibility Criteria for Tata Steel AEP 2026
Candidates must meet the following strict criteria to be shortlisted:
- Education: Full-time BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) in Ceramic, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering & Management (IEM), Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mineral, or Mining.
- Pass-out Year: Candidates must be 2025 pass-outs or final-year students graduating in 2026.
- Lateral Entry: Candidates with a 3-year Diploma who joined BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) through lateral entry (direct 2nd year) are also eligible.
- Academic Aggregate:
- General/EWS: Minimum 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- SC/ST/PwD/Transperson: Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (as of 1st January 2026) for General/ EWS; 32 years for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transperson.
Training & Salary Structure
- Training Period: 1 Year.
- Stipend: INR 30,000 per month.
